How does the Hourly to Salary Calculator work?
An annual salary is your total gross pay for a year before taxes. Annual pay = hourly wage × hours per week × weeks worked per year.
A full-time year is usually 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours. If you take unpaid time off, lower the weeks. Monthly pay divides the annual total by 12, biweekly by 26 and weekly by 52.
For example, $25 an hour for 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year is $52,000 in gross annual pay, or about $4,333 a month before taxes and deductions.
