The ADAG study found that estimated average glucose in mg/dL equals 28.7 times A1C minus 46.7. Dividing by 18.016 gives mmol/L.
Under 5.7% is normal, 5.7% to 6.4% is prediabetes and 6.5% or higher suggests diabetes. Only a clinician can diagnose.
